Our spiritual ancestors did it. We can, too."<BR/><BR/>I'm glad you added this to the end of your post, and that you're so academic and unapologetic in admitting what you're taking from whom and why. As a Pagan the thing I miss the most from my Christian upbringing is the rich, deep musical corpus that doesn't yet exist in the modern Pagan world. Even Christians in the past have used earlier traditional melodies as the basis of their songs. A good example being "Greensleeves" and "What child is this?". Also many of the medieval Catholic Masses were based on drinking songs because so many people already knew melodies. ;-)<BR/><BR/>Anyway, great post.Matt Gerlachnoreply@blogger.com
